Abstract

This dataset contains anonymised clinical data of 48 patients after myocardial infarction with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) followed by remote monitoring, enrolled in a single-centre study of circulating plasma microRNA profiles assessed by small RNA sequencing. The study aimed to compare microRNA profiles between patients with prior appropriate ICD therapy for ventricular arrhythmia (n = 25) and patients without ICD intervention (n = 23). Blood samples were collected on 14 March 2026, and arrhythmic events were recorded during 6 months after sampling.

Description

The file contains one record per patient (n = 48). Patient ID corresponds to the sample number of the sequenced plasma sample and allows linkage with the sequencing data. Variables: demographics (age, sex, BMI); year of ICD implantation, number of leads and length of remote monitoring; history of appropriate and inappropriate ICD therapy (antitachycardia pacing, shock) and time since the last intervention (days); ICD interventions and shocks within 6 months after sampling; comorbidities; echocardiographic parameters (LVEF, left ventricular diastolic and systolic diameters, left atrial diameter); haemoglobin and eGFR; pharmacotherapy (beta-blocker, ACE-I/ARB, ARNI, MRA, SGLT2 inhibitor). Binary variables are coded 0 = no, 1 = yes. Missing values are coded as “n/a” in “Time since last intervention” denotes no prior ICD intervention.
